Our Story: A Bi-Coastal Romance
We met on the night of the earthquake.
On May 8, 2018 there was a major earthquake in Los Angeles. I was on social media reposting emergency response alerts and asking if anyone needed help. Perry posted about his experience from Los Feliz. I reached out and asked who I could contact for him. Little did we know, that this one connection would launch our love story.
For nearly 9 years, we’ve built a bi-coastal relationship. Along with cross-country travels, we have been creative partners in filmmaking. We launched and co-star in our flagship drama series Corteza Gold as a husband and wife coffee empire family and in the adventure thriller Bannister. Perry’s 30+ years as an actor in the film and television industry and my role as an independent filmmaker made our romance even richer.
The Proposal – On New Years Day 2024, I stood in front of the spectacular Christmas tree display at the Americana Shopping Village on Brand. Perry handed me a bag of my favorite chocolate truffles from See’s Candies. He told me to look inside, then asked, “Do you see something that you like?”
Tucked inside the bag was an exquisite pear-shaped diamond set on a rose gold band from Helzberg Diamonds.
